2015 Cois Nore Gears Up for Kells Kings Charity Cycle 2015




Kilkenny hurling and camogie players Paul Murphy, Kate McDonald, Mairead Power, John Power and Tommy Walsh launch the 2015 Kells Kings charity cycle.


Now in its fourth year, preparations are underway for the 2015 Kells Kings Charity Cycle in aid of Cois Nore. Funds raised will go towards the provision of compassionate and emotional support for those who are dealing with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.


This year’s event will take place on Saturday 29th August, with something for everyone regardless of whether you are a leisure or avid cyclist, or just fancy a fun day out. As in previous years, hundreds of cyclists of all ages and levels of fitness are expected to take part in the 116km, 68km, 30km and 7.5km routes, all of which start out in Kells. With increasing numbers taking part from further afield each year, cyclists are encouraged to register early


As well as the main beneficiary, Cois Nore, a number of local causes also benefited from the charity cycle of 2015. Noteably, Dunnamaggin hurling club for their floodlight fund, Kells child care center for ongoing maintenance costs, Kells handball club, Kells tidy towns, Kells national school and the senior citizens of the parish.
